This Privacy Policy explains how Neon LLC (“Company,” “we,” or “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and processes data in connection with our Clover-based application, OrderBoard (“Application”), which runs on the Clover Point of Sale system (“Clover POS”). This Privacy Policy applies only to our Application and our website at NeonApplications.com. It does not apply to any other products or services offered by Neon LLC.
Company’s processing of data in connection with the Application is governed by this Privacy Policy and our agreements with Merchants. In the event of a conflict between this Privacy Policy and a Merchant agreement, the Merchant agreement will control to the extent permitted by law.
This Privacy Policy is not a substitute for any privacy policy a Merchant may be required to provide to its customers, personnel, or other individuals.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT THROUGH THE CLOVER APPLICATION

1. Information We Collect When a Customer Makes a Payment
The Application does not collect customer personal information or payment card data. We do not receive or process:
- Payment card numbers
- Customer names
- Customer contact information
- Customer loyalty information
- Delivery addresses
- Customer preferences or demographics
The Application only reads the following non-personal order-related data from Clover POS:
- Order ID and order number
- Line items and totals
- Payment, refund, and credit amounts
This information is used solely to display order status on a connected screen.
2. Additional Information Provided by Customers
The Application does not collect:
- Customer email addresses
- Customer phone numbers
- Customer marketing preferences
- Customer loyalty activity
- Customer reviews or feedback
- Customer birthdates or demographic information
3. Information About Merchant Personnel
The Application does not collect:
- Employee names
- Employee contact information
- Clock-in/clock-out times
- Tips earned
- Shift data
- Sales history
4. Additional Information Provided by Merchants
Merchants do not provide us with customer or personnel information. The Application does not request or store such data.

The Application uses order and payment status information solely to:
- Display active orders on a connected display
- Compute payment state (Unpaid, Partially Paid, Fully Paid, Refunded)
- Update the display in real time based on Clover order events
- Allow merchants to configure themes and display settings
We do not use Clover data for:
- Marketing
- Analytics
- Profiling
- Customer engagement
- Loyalty programs
We do not modify orders, payments, refunds, or credits.

HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION

We do not share any Clover data with:
- Third parties
- Advertisers
- Analytics providers
- Affiliates
- External servers
- Other merchants
Data remains on the Clover device unless a Merchant manually chooses to send diagnostic logs to Neon LLC for support.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

DATA STORAGE AND RETENTION

All data used by the Application is stored locally on the Clover device. We do not store or back up Clover data on external servers.
Locally stored data includes:
- Theme settings
- Display configurations
- Diagnostic logs (automatically purged based on size/time)
Neon LLC is not responsible for loss of locally stored data due to:
- Device resets
- User actions
- Hardware failure
- Clover OS updates
Merchants are responsible for maintaining backups of any data they wish to preserve.

Because the Application does not collect or store personal data, there are no personal data rights applicable to our on-device processing.
Merchants should direct any customer data requests to Clover or to their own internal privacy contact.
